MY DOG NAMED DOGGIE

I loved raising animal but I am more fascinated in raising a dog at home. Beside being helpful to us during the night by watching our house for any intruder, you will be touch when he wanted us to caress him. Going to my lap licking my face. It is a natural way of asking affection they mostly sought.

I acquired him when he was just 2 months old from my sister. She give it to me as birthday present. He is a very cute little animals. He has a combination of color of black and white and other stripped color. He kept on running from one place to another jumping, barking, rolling. My children liked him. When I went out from home going somewhere, he joined running after me. I have a cat at home. We all know that this two animals can never be joined together. They were enemies a long time ago. Seldom you can find them in harmony together, there's always a battle between them. Barking and shrieking reverberated inside the house. The cat damaged some of our glassware in the divider as she was attacked by him.

You can smile with joy by looking at them. Even if they are only an animals but they also have their own feelings. When I spanked the dog due to some abuse, he immediately went to the corner of the kitchen sitting alone without moving staring his dark eyes to me, sometimes he blink and looked to other direction. After a while, he came to me waiting to be caress his head and then he became lively again, running around the house and going outside running after our chickens. He had energy seemed he can not easily tired.

When Doggie became more than a year old, I brought him with me in a hunting trip to a portion of the forests, a home for birds and wild chicken, a few kilometers from our house. With an air gun in hand, we hunted large edible lizard lived in the muddy bank near the forest. The skin of the lizard is very tough. Even with repeatedly hitting him, he cannot be easily caught. Doggie runned after him, but we failed as the lizard is nowhere to be found even if I know I hit him several times in his body.

We went further, looking a bird named tikling. A bird good for breakfast. It lived most of his
time below tall grasses in the muddy field. I placed a trap made of bamboo sticks, a cord and a bended wood sticks putting some corn pellets. It is a long wait and sometimes it caught nothing. What we placed intended for this kind of bird, a wild chicken was caught instead, the more good for the meal.

Then I cannot find Doggie, he went to other direction hunting on its own. When he came back, he had in his mouth a land bird name buntog. I find him useful in many thing. I started training him in a simple act of obedience when he still a puppy. He learned it easily.

When we went home, we brought a land bird, wild chicken, some turtles we found, and other bird's hit in my air gun. Our lunch was complete, the aroma of fried chicken was very appetizing. You cannot resist taking some of them.

I started having a problem with him when he reached 3 years old. He was now very provocative. When someone went to our house without ever calling our attention, he immediately runned after him. A once silent dog became our headache.

I ran out my patient when one of my friend going to our house bit him in the leg. I did not expect that he can do that because my friend was already in our house several times and even caress him in the head. It is only a minor wound but the risk is great. We decided to let my friend injected with anti-rabies vaccine. My only regret is that I did not let my dog injected with anti-rabies when he was still young. His attitude he showed us now was very diffirent what we have known. I spent a lot of money for my friend's treatment as we wanted to be sure that the wound had no rabies.

We put dog collar in his neck and tied him in the outside corner of our house. We warned our children to be careful in dealing with him and if possible keep a distance to assure that he cannot attack again.

In consultation with my children, we decided to bring Doggie to the Department of Animal Protection for safekeeping and observation. We don't want to make another mistake again that cost us money for the treatment. My Doggie must leave us before he can do another damage to my family and friend and other persons. It was a very painful decision but it is the wisest decision I ever made.
